I'm basically looking at two: the Canon DC100 and the Panasonic VDR-D100. Hitachi DZBX35A is another possibility. Although I prefer Sony, we're kind of limited to these because of discounts we have available.

So, if you have any of them, or if you have knowledge about the quality and value of each, that would be helpful. Or any reasons why it's worth the extra investment to get a better one... reasons that will convince my husband.

The Hitachi model is not list - looks like the Panasonic has a slightly better rating than the Canon.

If u want to choose from the two models mentioned above - go for canon..

but if u want to go for the best one - go for sony.
