It is extremely normal and most couples do it because they are in the gitty i love you stage. enjoy it while it lasts, and it's nothing to be embarrased about. those who find something wrong with it are just people who arent happy.

Here's where I age myself. I'm in my 60's and have been married to hubby for 6 years this coming March (believe it or not). Don't feel bad, we actually do it too (at home - never out). My hubby has a rare sense of humour and catches me off guard most of the time. I'm the one who usually starts it, for instance if he's bumped himself coming up the steps, I'm right in there with the: Awww Poowa widdo baby thing. Maybe I did too much Karaoke when we used to sing Patsy Clines' song "Crazy" like Elmer Fudd. But I have to admit we never seem to argue, we're always laughing, and we have a great time together. Maybe that's what we all need........a little break from normality once in a while.

A lot of couples use "baby talk" with each other - you're not the only ones. As long as it's in private, it's OK - if you like it, keep on doing it. But, if you're around other people, be aware that a lot of folks might find it really annoying. But as long as it's only you two, and nobody else is around - have fun!

OMG- You totally reminded me of my relationship with an ex. It was strange.... In the beginning yeah it was cute and then it got to where it DID become a whining thing. It got to where it became a total turn off. We started not to take each other seriously and I kept secretly wishing it would stop cause it became so annoying (for him too) but it was either he or I that would start the whine again and I couldn't take it any longer....BREAK THE HABIT I SAY!!!

Oh my, one of my cousins and her husband are like that all the time and I don't even think they know it. It's a good thing that you know you're doing it so you can at least try to stop when you're around other people. They will get annoyed. I mean, it's okay - like to call him hun or whatever but not like that cutesy whinny voice thing. I love my cousins - but boy - after awhile - it's like get me out of here - I need a break!

My boyfriend and I have been together for 4 & 1/2 years and we still do that kind of stuff subconsiously. Just try to controll yourselves when you are out in public just so you don't look stupid but other than that, it is completely normal.

My boyfriend and I used to do it all of the time also, but that was 5 years ago. Eventually, you'll be as sick of it as everyone else around you is!
It especially got on my family's nerves, they used to make fun of us for calling each other Bunny! lol It'll get old to you though!

Girl - your doing what you can to control it. I talk to my husband like that some times and he does back to me. We did that at the beginning of our relationship. So it is normal for us.
