Dry skin doesn't age any quicker than normal or oilier skin types.
What is the aging of skin? --> it's breakdown and damage of collagen and elastin in the DEEPER layers of the skin. Now, the difference between dry and oilier skin types is how that affects the appearance of the epidermis, the top layer of the skin -- the skin that's visible.
With oilier skin, because the skin is obviously more oily, superficial fine lines and wrinkles can have a softer appearance because the oil plumps the skin up. With dry skin, because there is a lack of moisture, fine lines and wrinkles can be more pronounced but that doesn't mean these skin types have more damage and have aged quicker! It just means their skin is dry. Take any person with dry skin and fine lines and give them a good moisturizer and guaranteed, those lines will diminish.

unfortunatly dry skin does age quicker because it does not contain as much collagen and elstin fibres. you can not avoid the aging process but you can help slow it down by not smoking which drys out the skin even further, drink planty of water, and use products containing collagen and elastin and as soon as u hit 25 try and get your hands on an intensive age treatment or you could just pray for a miricale. the most common cause of premature aging is caused by sun exposure so always wear a moisturiser containing sunscreen under your makeup and you will thank yourself if a few years when you are looking at all your wrinkled up girlfriends over coffee thinking damn i look good! haha

I would think so because dry skin is prone to wrinkles. That is why you need to start moisturizing at a young age to keep your skins elasticity longer.

Skin "ages" because it loses it's elasticity. Dry skin has less elasticity than well moisturized skin. Drink plenty of water. Avoid sun. Bath in warm (not hot) water. Moisturize.
