YES, it's fine,
The date HAS to be there for gov't regulations as a guideline.

As long as it's not cloudy or crystallized it will be OK for now, But put it on your list and replace it next time you are out shopping.

We are talking about over the counter cough syrup right??

If it was a prescription.. then... ABSOLUTELY NOT

Most brands are just flavored syrup with alcohol...is it safe to drink brandy six months after an arbitrary expiration date? Yes.

Expiration dates are placed on there for Financial Reasons. Go buy another bottle and you will understand.
Its either Expensive because it is SO old, or it is a modest price becuase it has not yet 'expired'.

Everything has to have an expiration date....something to do with the FDA. It's safe to take but might not be as effective as it was originally. It certainly won't hurt you.

My advice is throw it away, if you have not taken it before expirated date, why not you take fresh syrup instead, newone is more effective on your cough.

Acording to Harvard Medical I researched, yes I is ok. Make sure meds not stored in bathroom cabinet, need instead, cool dry area.

ive done it b4...was ok with me..i wasnt sick or anyting...anyhow if its got penicylian on the top...all the better !!
