When they were announcing the awards at the Nascar banquet the other night, I noticed that Kevin Harvick got the "Driver of The Year" award. But in my opinion it either should've went to Kasey Kahne for winning the most races in the season or to Jimmie Johnson for winning the Nextel Cup this year. So, I was just wondering how they picked Kevin Harvick for that award.

Great question! I think it is like on Nascar.com I voted on different ones, so I guess it's like the Fan vote thing. I didn't know until during the Awards Show about Fans Voting???? Don't ya think it would be better and probably more Fair if Nascar would make it More Publicized and set a date/deadline for Fan Voting? Although I was pleased with Kevin Harvick, I think it was because Kevin came up so much??? Kasey did Great, but in previous years hasn't this happened b4?

Harvick got it for his overall NASCAR record, 4th in Nexetel points, Busch series champion, 5 nexetel cup wins, 9 Busch series wins.

I agree.Kasey shoulda got that hands down 4 sure!!!!!!!!!!Kevin Harvick ...well to say the least I dont like him.ya he had a good year but so what...Kasey shoulda got it, he had a better year than everyone to me.Everybody knows it..he shoulda won he is more deserving of it..

Theres two ways. Theres the way where the fans vote. And theres the way were they have some people that are involded in motorsports that pick them.
