Lady, I have an adopted Vietnamese daughter, later married a Korean Lady from Seoul Korea, have two children that were born
in Germany! Working with the INS they are all citizens. Too, I am a retired 24 year Veteran.
We have graves all over the world where Americans have died for our country, and we do not have one iota of a second for any
one that broke American Laws to Get in, And age don't matter!
Strange how it is that the ones that never severed their country,
never carried a weapon in defense of her, never was shot at, endured life without their family are always the ones ready to sell America down the road for everybody else.
The person your talking about has been breaking Federal and State Laws for years. Drivers License Documentation? Forged
School Entry documentation, Forged, Social Security Number, Fraud or forged? Any of these violations would put you under the jail!
OUT WITH ALL ILLEGALS! I pay TAXES just like millions of other Americans, but not to support anybody that sneaks into my country! Try sneaking into Turkey, Russia, China, or Libya and see what they will do with your Butt!
Does Mexico have a requirement that all Mexican documents be in English also?

She needs to see an attorny immediatly. (careful choosing on as there are those that prey on the immigrant community - she needs a lawyer not a notary).
There are several posibilities that may be available for her including, witholding of deportation ( 10 years here, exteme hardship to a qualifiying relative if she was deported ( her kids), good moral character), asylum ( depending on what country she came from), and, potentailly, she may be able to self petition for a visa since her husband refused to ( under the violence against woman act, it is recognized that some men used the threat of deportation to control their alien wives.) The sooner she gets started on fixing things the better. And she should definity contact an immigration lawyer before getting a divorce ( if she hasn't already) or allowing on to go through. I believe the self petitioning I mentioned may require a minimum period of marriage or it may need to be done before the divorce ( I only did one vowa case and it was years ago).
Get her to a lawyer right away and good luck.

I think she can get a work visa, and then file for citizenship. But then keep up with paperwork regarding school, and jobs; also residence status and doctor records and turn these things in when required. The visa will be renewed as long as she keeps doing this. Then wait for the citizenship. Get on the government site for this and it tells you step by step.

I don't think it will work but she can apply for a "creation of record". Good luck!
