in my last question i wrote about being molested as a child. it was by someone in my family. the whole family knows. at every family function i have to see him. i can't stand it. he looks at me i cringe, i havent said anything to him about how i feel except when it happend and i was 7 it has been 15 years, he wants to hug me and i feel like that little child all over again and just let him. I guess i feel like i have to to put on this face that everything is ok. No body knows how much it still hurts me. I have a 4 year old neice and when we are all together i follow her around im not gonna leave him alone for a second. This sorry excuse for a man is very sick and i dont feel sorry for him is that bad.

I don’t remember what exactly happened but laws were different and he didn’t have to go to jail. I remember telling to school and getting counseling and having to face him.

I think its time you open up your wounds so that everybody would take precautionary measures when he's around. This could possibly prevent another child from being hurt. Unless you speak up otherwise everyone will think he's an angel. Go on, do yourself proud.

Technically, molester should be put under bar, but there are some issue that he may not go to jail, such as lack of evidence. Maybe at that time you couldn't tell the Police what actually happened. But idiot like him should be taught a lesson, what should you feel sorry for him? I have friend who are sexual abuse at home too, it's a nightmare to her even now she was married with kids. You should let all your familes member know of what he did. Person like him should be isolated from reaching kids.

I think you must be brave and strong when you face him in future. If you are not strong or brave enough to face him, he will think that whatever he do is always right. If you are daring enough you can embrass the person in front of everybody during a family function.
You have to look forward and not the past even though the past can come back and haunt you but you got to be brave enough to take up the challenge

Voice how you feel to your family. For all you know they might be accepting him because you are. You shouldn't have to feel this way. Your family shouldn't have him at these functions. I don't care if he is family what he did is unforgivable. I would continue to keep an eye out on your neice.

Does your family know this man molested you? If so why is he not in jail for this? If you haven't told them, why have you not told them? That is enough to scar you for life. I know what I am talking about here. I would stay totally away from him.

No, your opinion of him is very much tainted because of your pass. Maybe you should talk to him and get this off you chest once and for all.
