Monitor the borders with machine guns and tanks and ask questions later. They'd do it to us, wouldn't they???

Put all immigration on hold until all illegals are accounted for. If they don't like it, they can blame theirselves and their relatives for coming before them illegally. Listen to their reasons for being illegal because some of them were brought here as babies and had no choice. The ones that came here knowingly need to begin the process to become legal, but not able to assume all benefits and rights that we have as citizens. I have to have a proper ID to even get a job-so everyone should. Therefore illegals would not be able to get a job, go to school, or keep any homes they purchased illegally. They should not have done it. If I buy something illegally that may have been stolen, even if I did not know it -it would be taken from me. They would not be allowed to drive, rent homes etc. This would make them WANT to go back.

ALSO-get rid of everything in spanish, we speak english here. The more we let them conform us, the more we lose.

Legal immigrants should be the most angry at illegals because they did not go through what the legal immigrants had to go through. Why should a legal immigrant go through the whole process and pay for it when someone can just come here and do what they want?

Before anyone says anything about the people who are already here we must first repair our broken border. Even if you believe we should have an open border, we can’t continue to allow everyone to flood into this country without us knowing about it. We must fix the border situation. Once Again assuming the most liberal belief, we must close the border (except for points of entry) and have some way to track every person who comes in with our visa and alien work cards.

For the people already here, on a case by case basis, most will have to be legalised. The best way to give the oldest and longest here a chance to have a green card, the less time you are here the chances of you being allowed to stay should be less and less. On the other hand the United States of America makes plenty of uneducated unskilled workers on its own, we don’t need other countries to make that class of worker even larger, priority needs to be given to those with skills or education.

A large portion of the immigration comes from the United States of Mexico. It would benefit America, Mexico and all of it’s neighbours if we were somehow able eliminate most of the corruption present in that country.

#1 - the wall (not a stinking fence) would be built and built asap. This could be quickly accomplished by giving Halliburton the contract.

#2 tell INS to do it's job.

#3 create a special guest worker program for Mexicans only. So the 20 million illegal Mexicans in this country have 90 days to register for the new program. They will be issued a special guest worker ID that allows them to continue to work in this country. They would not be citizens, would not be entitled to social security, and should they choose to return to Mexico, they would not be allowed to return. Hopefully, this would stop these boneheads from stealing the SS #'s of real American Citizens.

#4 I would discourage American corporations from sending good US manufacturing jobs across the border. Especially when there are 20 million Mexicans already here and apparently so motivated to do jobs Americans don't want.

#5 Pray...because our government has no intention of doing anything remotely useful on the subject of illegal immigration.

Amnesty is NOT the solution for breaking the law. It was tried during the Reagan administration on the terms that congress would enforce any further incursions into the US and illegal hiring of migrants. Of course this never happened. If we legalize the 12 million illegals in the US now, expect 30 million more in 10 yrs.
The Plan:
Prosecute anyone who hires, houses, or hides any person who is in the US illegally. Make it a federal felony with a penalty of 1 to 10 yrs in prison with no parole.

Finish the wall guarding our southern border. This will stop much of the illegal immigration, and will also keep much of the meth smuggling cretins out of our country.

Give our border patrol the weapons, training, and ability to engage anyone who fires upon them. The Mexican military has actually aided drug smugglers cross into the US and fired upon our agents. This is ridiculous and cannot be tolerated.

Make it a requirement that verified govt ids of some sort be used to vote, to keep illegals from voting. This takes away one of the Democrat's main reasons for wanting illegals to flood the USA.

Immediate and unequivocal deportation.
No amnesty, no hearing, no debate, just the bus ride back to the border, or the plane ride back to country of origin.
Then shoot any and all intruders into this country, no questions asked.
Anyone caught aiding, abetting, harboring or employing an illegal would go to federal prison.

Send ALL the illegal ones packing. They can come back when they do it legally.

Oh, and I would demand that all our factories and other jobs that have been sent to other countries should return home, then we could employ the LEGAL ones when they return.

I know, let's just buy Mexico. We should have another state that's bigger than Texas anyway!!

a twofold thing. increase legal immigration levels, and work closely with Mexico to improve economic conditions there. If there are good jobs in Mexico, there will be less people coming to the US in search of Jobs. If legal immigration is increased, we can set up background checks and figure out just who is entering the country, and control just who's coming in.

Deport all illegal immigrants. Speed up the process for legal immigrants. I'm willing to pay more for wine and strawberries.

United States of America is a Nation of immigrants only. Then why should some body think of stopping immigrants from other countries. Allow and legalize all immigrants then there will be no illegal immigration.
