OK, I'll go first. Before I got saved, and growing up with three brothers, I had quite a foul mouth on me. At the moment I got saved, got took my dirty mouth and put praises where all the dirty language used to be! I'll never forget the feeling of being CLEAN!

EDIT: that should say GOD took my dirty mouth, (not got)

Another thing He gave me was an insatiable desire to devour His Word! I've been a student of the Bible ever since.

God bless you!! Yes, when I was saved I'd had been tormented by how my family had treated me always anger and bitter and it disapeared immediatly. God gave me peace then and these feelings never returned. I was then able to put the past away and started a new relationship with them.

I was a terrible alcoholic. I almost died in the hospital of alcohol poisoning.i had been in and out of the hospital for drinking. Finally I checked myself into this counseling center ( aka rehab) and I prayed and prayed and really prayed. One night about half way through my stay, I was praying and something happened. I did not see anyone, I did not hear voices, but this overwhelming peace came over me. He was there, I know it.I was one of the worst alcoholics they had ever seen and I was an emotional mess. That was 5 yrs ago Oct 22. I do not think about alcohol nor do I attend AA meetings. If you know any alcoholics you will know that is unheard of.I have such a peace now.

Yes. That would be a DEFINITE yes! He took away hopelessness and despair. To be more specific, I had been dealing with a certain emotional pain that I had carried for years that presented itself as what I called a "black hole" in my stomach. Loneliness, despair, hopelessness...it all made me so heavy hearted. I told God, "Well, if you're so great and you can do what these people SAY you can do, you'll remove this pain." And He did. Immediately, I received the knowledge that He loved me FOR REAL. And the pain was replaced with joy, peace, and love.

AMEN!! I"M WITH YOU!!

I quit smoking --cold turkey!!--just because I asked.

And yes, He's still working on my mouth, but those lame words do not come out like they USED TO!

God is certainly LOVE!!

At the time of my Salvation, I just knew my life was changed. I didn't see the 'big picture' yet, but NOW EVERYthing I do is for God.

I pray to be kept on being used as His vessel --to reach people for Christ.

I'm with sweetie_b---all the heartache I caused my parents---they became more important to me. Now that Dad's gone, Mom is sadly hanging on, but I appreciate them raising me in church.
You DO return to what you know.

Now, WHAT WAS YOUR YOUR QUESTION?

Yes. he removed the compulsion and obsession to drink alcohol. Removed an abusive and drunken husband, and gave me a loving sober one. Two beautiful grandchildren in place of a daughter I lost to drug addiction, a new and beautiful peaceful life that I would have ever imagined could exist. Tears and stormy days are still part of a great new life.

Yes, I had no conscience. I was mean to animals, my little brother, and would push my parents to the verge of tears, and I felt no guilt. I had no empathy or sympathy either.

As soon as I got saved, all of those things left me. I was aware of pain I caused others, and felt bad about all I had done. I was instantly and forever changed in that instance, I became new in Christ.

God immediately delivered me from excessive partying, drinking, and sex outside of marriage. I had and still have no extreme desire for any of those things. He's since given me peace of mind and focus for my future! Praise be to God!!!
