I myself have witnessed out right hate for people who have a relationship with God, to the point that people wish death on you so that the world will be free of religious people. And I have also seen death wished upon people who didnt have a relationship with God. I just dont understand this type of mentality, of people with so much hate in them. I have respect for everyone, no matter what our differences may be. If we respect one another would this world not be a much better place?

No need to hate anyone. but there is a lot of it here. Believers and non-believers both have done it. there is too much hate now. Just wish we could all Just try and respect each other.

I can see being hated by someone who believes if natural disasters happen like in Egypt then that God must be an evil God; but maybe those who are hating do not understand why God must protect those who are obedient to his laws-those who are hating believe they are righteous no matter what they do, even if they are hurting those who have come closer to approaching God

yeah its weird how they do for no reason. It's like they feel threatened maybe they believe deep, DEEP down inside & its botherin'em bc they don't want to.
Also, i believe but i don't hate those that don't bc what would be the point? If a person really believes & knows what God is all about they won't hate other Religions.

You know. Ever since I got here there I've noticed there is a lot of people who claim not to believe in God. But they spend an awful lot of time in a Religion and Spirituality forum. Makes you wonder if they are looking for someone that can make them believe. Perhaps to fill that void only God can fill.
Otherwise all they do is strenghten our faith.

Words of Christ:
John 3:19-21:
19This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. 20Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that his deeds will be exposed. 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what he has done has been done through God."
I don't hate unbelievers, I just feel sorry for what they will have to endure during tribulation, judgment, and the afterlife.

Nope. There's no point in hating some people who believe or who doesn't believe in God. Just respect their beliefs and their opinions. Thats what they believe in and thats part of their culture so we can't blame them.

I don't know anyone who hates someone who believes in God. I don't always agree with them, but I still have Christian friends.

No point in it at all. Life is too short and there are too many wonderful people, both believers and non-, to waste any of it hating anyone.
If you find someone who tries to convert you, realize that they are ignorant and are actually making light of your creed or lack thereof. Just lose them as quickly as you can.

Hate is a strong word. I think is actually strong opinion. Passion for something can turn into something unhealthy if it's not balance and tested with facts, or sound doctrine.

I wonder?
What could be the point?
There is no point.
Hatred is useless and breeds further dissension amongst the human race in general.
The problem is that as humans we are accustomed to arguing with those who disagree with our own viewpoint. (hatred is not the same as disagreeing).
Excellent question!
