Problems like hunger, illiteracy, disease,hygine can be reduced if the people are educated to volunteer to participate in community developement work. This training for may be part of educational system. There are numerous examples where devoted volunteers have played revolutionary role. There is example of one beautiful young German girl who saw a leoparsy patient in Karachi on road in a bad shape. She took life long decision to eliminate leoparsy from Pakistan and has spent long 40 years of her life quietly without caring for fame or reward. She is successful in her very difficult mission.

Unfortunately, many countries have a power elite that is so corrupt that participation is seen as a threat.

Each has their own path to follow and for some it takes a wee bit longer than others to know what that path means or where it will take them. It is not everyones path to do as the young german girl but I like the idea of it becomming part of the education system.
