Ha ha ha. Did you know that Islam means "peace"? It's the first thing on a Muslim's mind! It's also the only religion not named after a person or place. Thus, it is not restricted to any race or country.
You are a victim of the right-wing, Muslim bashing media. You need to reprogram yourself. If the only Muslims you ever see are on TV, then God help you.....
If Muslims cause destruction all over the world, who built the Petronas towers? The alBuruj hotel in Dubai, which has the highest concentration of construction cranes in the world right now? You're on a computer - Google it.
The reason Muslims say "Peace be upon him" every time the Prophet is mentioned is because we are taught to bless his soul for his mission, for the Guidance that God revealed to him, and in showing our love and respect for the Prophet, God blesses us in turn.

peace be upon him , it is used for also all other prophets , we use it for jesus , abraham , ....etc.it is used as an honor and respet for the prophets.(peace be upon them all).
and the islam greeting is:ASSALAMU ALAYKUM
'Peace be upon you' the greeting of the muslim
[the reply is 'wa alaikumus salam' which means 'and peace be upon you. The fuller version reads, 'assalam u alaikum wa rahmatulahi wa baakatuhu' which means 'peace be upon you and the blessings and mercy of Alllah' the reply is 'wa alaikumus salam wa rahmatulahi wa baakatuhu']
its a pity that ppl see only the minority of muslims who are extrmist , and their terror isnot from islam , and leave the majority of muslims.
its a pity that ppl think that we are so bad , and close their eyes from what really innocent muslims suffer in muslim countries for years and no body cares!!!
what a sarcasim!

When you generalize like that, you are proving what a bigot you are. If you knew anthying about Islam, you would realize that it is a peace-loving religion. It is the extremists that give it a bad name. I am christian, and no matter how much I may disagree with their theology, I still realize how much normal muslims love peace.

that is supposed to be a prayer to GOD for you for a peace of mind always. not to think of something that will destroy your life like bad things to be happened. but if the word PEACE BE WITH YOU is uttered only , it will not b e heard by GOD but if prayed wholeheartedly,k it will be given by GOD

Peace be upon him (Arabic: صÙ٠اÙÙ٠عÙÙÙ ÙسÙÙ
;ï·º; salla Allahu alayhi wa sallam, also transliterated as sallalahu aleyhi wasallam or salallahu alayhi wasalaam) is a phrase that Muslims are required to say after mentioning the name of the Islamic prophets such as Muhammad, Jesus Christ, Abraham and all the other prophets cited in the Qur'an. Shia Muslims mention a similar salutation (aleyhi salaam - upon him be peace) after mentioning Ali ibn Abi Talib or one of the imams that followed Ali. An alternative translation is "May Allah bless him and grant him peace." In Arabic, these salutations are called salawat. Sometimes, on the Internet, it is abbreviated to "swt" or "pbuh".
"Allah sends His Salah on the Prophet (Muhammad), and also His angels (do so). Oh you who believe! Send your Salah on (i.e. ask Allah to bless) him (Muhammad) and greet him with the Islamic way of greeting (i.e. as-Salaam Alaykum, which means peace be upon you)" (33:56)

Kinda like saying Praise Jesus, or Glory Be!. And, no Muslim bashing. They are where God put them. It takes tolerance to encourage tolerance.

I'm pretty sure that most Muslims seek nothing but peace, but what we hear about is the ones that aren't peaceful. Just like I hear from you Christian folks.
