In Quran, the plural of world is used. Meaning that Quran is saying that there are more than one world. The Quran also talks about the earth revolving around the sun( it says that days and nights are coiled upon each other). It says that moon is a reflector meaning it does not have its own light. The Quran came to this world about 7th century.
"For you (God) subjected the sun and the moon, both diligently pursuing their courses" (Quran 14:33).
This is of the tidings of the Unseen which we inspire in you (Muhammad). Neither you nor your people knew it before this" (Qur'an 11:49). THE SUN & MOON MOVE WITH THEIR OWN MOTION The Qur'an makes the following statement about the sun and the moon: "Each one is travelling in an orbit with its own
"Do not the unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were fused together, then we separated them . . ." (Qur'an 21:30).

Not as such, because the people of the time didn't appreciate the difference between planets and stars. The "morning star" is mentioned in Scripture, which is probably Venus.

The observation of planets only became possible with the invention of the telescope. This was done over 1000 years after the Bible was written.

Not specifically, just the heavens.

But a fictional planet called Pluto is in my old High School text book!

There are verses about celestial bodies, but I don't think the plants had the names they have today until they were discovered by men and named by same. Hence, if they were there, they would be called by the name that God called them by, and we probably wouldn't know what the word referred to.

Job knew [ 9:1 Then Job answered and said,
9:2 I know it is so of a truth: but how should man be just with God?
9:3 If he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand.
9:4 He is wise in heart, and mighty in strength: who hath hardened himself against him, and hath prospered?
9:5 Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.9:6 Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
9:7 Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
9:8 Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
9:9 Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.
9:10 Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.

Job.38:1, [ The LORD said ] 30 The waters are hid as with a stone, and the face of the deep is frozen. 38:31 Canst thou bind the sweet influences of Pleiades, or loose the bands of Orion? 38:32 Canst thou bring forth Mazzaroth in his season? or canst thou guide Arcturus with his sons? 38:33 Knowest thou the ordinances of heaven? canst thou set the dominion thereof in the earth? 38:34 Canst thou lift up thy voice to the clouds, that abundance of waters may cover thee? 38:35 Canst thou send lightnings, that they may go and say unto thee, Here we are?

dontcha love people like earl?

one can make fun of science for always trying to improve our knowledge and discover things, and yes, even reclassify them once we learn more about them --even if they exist at the farthest reaches of our solar system. we never think we're always right, but always trying to grow and improve our knowledge. science not only has the COURAGE to correct itself and grow, it has the DESIRE to.

yet a dusty 2000 year old cult book, full of nonsense and silly cuilt stories written by anonymous authors, chock full of errors and self-contradictions, never written down immediately, but rather, handed down by word of mouth for DECADES before ever written down...THAT garbage must be perfect and inerrant!! LMFAO!!!
