My mother bought a nesting box for my two lovebirds. Its made from Alfalfa and Honey. I checked the box to make sure that was all that was in it but I have no idea weither or not they are posionus to them and cant find it online. Does anyone know?

ITS SAFE BUT THEY WILL PROBABLY EAT IT OR JUST PLAIN SHRED IT.

Please clean the nesting box out. I'm assuming it's made of wood (most are). Provide clean nesting material (purchase at a pet store) for the birds to build their own nest. The alfalfa and honey will burn their bodies and defeather them. Good luck!

It sounds like a yummy treat, they should have alot of fun with it! I like to put alfalfa on the bottom of my cockatiel cage, they love to play in it and it smells great.

Not bad for them at all. They will probably shread it to bits though.lol. Also if both are females becareful as they might fight over the box.

It's ok. It's not toxic at all. A lot of birds use it in nature to make their nests.
