it all depends upon what kind of work you want to do with autistic children. specific degrees depend upon the college. the degree you want will vary depending upon what you want to do in working with these children. specialties can make more courses necessary.

It depends upon you. With a two year degree, you can work as a mental health worker in most states. Of course, the more education you have, the more options you have to choose from. Some people want to be a medical doctor, and take a medical degree (4 yr) after a bachelors degree (4 yr), and then specialize (4 yr).
There are many ways you can work with autistic children.
Some people are having great success with horseback riding and this specific population.
