I just started working for Country Bunny Bath and Body Products. I have decided to give gifts to a few close friends and family members to let them try it out. Would it be inappropriate to leave my business card in the gift bag along with the products? I plan on labeling the products anyway with my name and number for reordering purposes. But a business card...is it too much?

Adding a business card makes it look like less of a gift, and more of a marketing ploy. Hold off the cards. A few weeks after you give the gifts, you may want to follow up to ask if they received everything ok, and how they liked it. You can at that point send a card or something. But for the actual gift, it would be tacky to add the cards.

Drop the business card idea for Christmas gifts. More okay if just a regular gift, out of the blue.

It's bad form to include the cards (I know... I know... I sell Avon and I hated not being able to slip a catalog in there), but it is perfectly acceptable to give the gift. When they give a compliment or thank you, say, "You know, I work there now, and since I know you like vanilla scent, that really made me think of you!" That way, you're letting them know, but you are also showing that you put thought into the gift.

Leaving a card is tacky and out of bounds.

Give them the gifts and cards later in the year as a random act of kindness.

If it's a Christmas gift then don't put in the card. If it's an enticement for them to purchase from you then put it in.
