I can not remember exactly where the scripture is, but in Genesis God told Adam and Eve to "replenish" the earth. Or, to "refill" it. Some believed that when Satan and his believers were kicked out of heaven. The built cities here in the earth. But in Jeremiah it says there was a day that God turned the earth upside down and threw down the cities and commanded the sun not to shine. If the sun does not shine then the Earth would experience an Ice Age. This would explain why we find fossils of dinosaurs in ice. But yes, there was a race of beings here in the earth before Adam and Eve.

Many ancient civilizations are popular. The Indian civilization, grek civilization and egyptian civilizations are very popular today. ISome traces of ancient cities and towns have been noticed at Mohan Jodado and Hadappa. The palacial buildings of ancient civilizations are beyond our mind how they were constructed. The art of Dilwara temple at Mt. Abu in India is beyond our thoughts. So we can say ancient culture was more civilized and advanced than today.

More advanced in what way? Early men lived longer and had much higher IQs. Man has essentially de-evolved, in that we have gotten worse, not better with time. Our technology has come about as a result of ideas of many individuals, over time. It took time to make discoveries, such as iron work.

It is too general a question to be answered. Culture is evolution, it cannot get killed. There will always be remnants to continue the advanced culture.

The Atlantians were killed by a technological accident. But they were more highly spiritually advanced than most people sucking air today!

If there was, they didn't leave any sign of it - no cities, no books to show us they were much more advanced, no computers, no plastic, no nothing. It's hard to have a civilization like ours and leave no lasting impact.

Considerint all the wars that modern people are committing, I would say that just about any ancient people were more advanced than us.

Babylonians and Aztecs were pretty damn advanced. If they were still alive they would be more advanced than us now.
