1 the wiener game (its a race)
first you tie a hot dog wiener around you waste hanging down towards your knees.
line everyone playing up then when you say go they have to race to a jar that's is about 10-15 feet away and they have to try and get the wiener in the jar first with no help from the hands or anything. all by bending at the knees and using the hips to maneuver the wiener into the jar.

2 memory tray game
you have a tray and you have misc thing on it baby stuff and what not and you take it around and show people for 30 or so seconds then keep on going onto the next person at the end you say OK write down what you saw and however has the most answers wins.

3 guessing game

take a baby bottle stick jelly beans in it and people have 30-60sec to guess how many jelly beans are in it. person closest or dead on wins.

4 the dirty diaper game is fun

5maybe make one up of your own like
instead of pin the tail on the donkey do

blind folded person and trying to put the diaper on a baby doll or something

I was just at a shower on Saturday and we played this game where there are 10 or 12 numbered diapers. Each diaper has a different candy bar smashed inside. Each guest has a paper numbered 1 thru 10 or 12. Pass the diapers around and let people look and smell the "dirty" diapers and try to guess which # is which candy bar. The person who correctly identifys the most dirty diapers, wins the prize.

Also played a game with different things needed for a baby (bottles, pacifiers, nail clippers, lotion, powder, etc) and place them in differently numbered brown paper lunch bags. Have guest number bags to match the amount of items in differnt bags. Passags around to guests and let them feel the item and guess what it is. Each paper bag ends up at the feet of the soon to be new mom. she opens each bag and keeps the items. The person with the most correctly identified items wins.

And last but, not least. When each guest enters the door to attend the party, place a tag with the name of a famous mother, could be real or fictional. Tell each player that she can't look at it and has to ask other guests questions to help her identify the name of the mother on her back. (I had Carol Brady, my mother-in-law had Betty Rubble (flinstones), my daughter had Britney Spears.)

We had a blast, and good luck, you can email me with any ?'s

this is kind of like a three legged race. everyone partners up, and they link their inside arms together. each 'couple' has a babydoll and an folded diaper next to the baby. and whichever couple diapers the baby the fastest wins.

good game for breaking the ice and getting people excited.

really, short games are best. people get tired of games quickly, and anything that has to do with writing stuff down isn't so much fun. we played a 'price is right' kind of game, but it was LONG. and boring.

another game that was a HIT was the clothspin game. as each guest arrives, they get a clothespin, and are instructed not to say the word 'baby'. if they say it, the first person to catch them gets all of their clothespins. this game works really well if you are having a large party.

also, as far as prizes, $5-$10 gift cards to starbucks. =)

I am not a "game" person I find them a bit chesy. Here are a few not to gammy games...
1.) pass around a spool of ribon ask the guests to cut a piece that they think is the measurements of the mom 2 bes belly. closest wins.
2.) Person whos birthday is closest to due date

I like Bath & Body Works stuff, any age will use it, we put together a few baskets for prizes as well as tied together 2 glycerin soaps ($1 each) and had them sitting at each seat. We did pink & blue. Also a cheaper & cute way is Crab Tree & Evelyn has a small soap shapped like a Teddy Bear ( I believe they are $1) they will wrap them up in netting w/a bow for you for free or each seat, have fun & enjoy

Baby Bingo

You give em blank bingo game cards...they fill in all the things they think mom to be will get

First to get bingo wins...

Dirty Diaper Game...
Gross, but funny. Take a bunch of lil diapers and put "stuff" in them. Number each diaper. Pass them around and have each person sniff, look at , touch if they want...decide and write down what they think it is...

Who ever gets the most right wins... Sounds gross, but it is fun.

FINALLY

Go around to everyone with a spool of ribbon. HAve them cut off how big they think mom to be is. Then, at the end. Measure around moms belly. Whoever is closeset wins... Note, mom may not find this one cute. But its fun

Enjoy. I just did a shower several months ago for my friend. We did that stuff and it was ok. There were others but I cant remember..... Good luck & enjoy

Here are a few:
- have guests try to draw a baby on a paperplate, while the plate is on their head! The mother-to-be gets to choose the winner with the closest resemblance to a baby.
-if guys are invited: have a beer drinking contest, out of baby bottles! We did this at my baby shower with my hubby and his buddies... it was hilarious watching them try to chug beer out of those little plastic bottles!
- observation games: have a "garland" of baby items, such as booties, pacifiers, toys, bibs, etc hanging in an entry way, and later on, ask guests to recall what was on it and list as many as they can.
- word scrambles: scramble the letters in baby words, like bottle, playpen, diaper, etc and give guests two or three minutes to see how many they can unscramble.
- baby food identification: remove the labels from jars of baby food (like 10 different ones) and number them, then have guests try to guess what food is in those jars (don't forget to write down the answers somewhere before you take off the labels!)
Prizes: ideas can be as simple as lotions, candle holders, stationery, gifts from the dollar store are great!

you can do the old "guess the birth date and sex of the baby" game, give the list to the pregnant mum to keep for after it has arrived.
At my shower we played a game where someone read out an animal and everyone had to write down what the animals baby is called. For example, call out cat and they should write kitten... call out dog and they should write puppy. Start off easy and then work your way to others like echidna babies are called puglets, baby dolphin/whale, baby goose, baby platypus. Just google animal baby names and you should get a few to stump everyone.

Another game is to say a line of a nursery rhyme and then everyone has to write down the next line.

Play baby bingo. Make up sheets of paper for everyone with 8-10 squares. Get them to write in each box an item that you need for a bay. Example... cot, stroller, nappies, bottle, dummy, blankets etc.
Then someone in charge of the game reads out a list of items one by one and if anyone has that item in one of their squares, they get to cross it off. The first person to cross off all their boxes calls baby bingo and wins.

Another game( depending on how many people you have) is to have a doll, a cloth nappy and pins sitting in the middle of the floor. One by one, each person has to run to the middle of the room, put the nappy on the doll correctly and they are timed by someone with a stop watch. The person to do it the quickest gets a prize.

Fill a jar with condoms and get people to guess how many are in it. Winner gets the jar.

A good game if you have a diaper cake centerpiece. Have each guest guess how many diapers are in the cake. (Make sure the creator of the cake makes it out of a truly odd#).

Great prizes: Unique Picture Frames, CDs that are burned with favorite lullabyes and children's music, a box of notecards and stamps, gourmet chocolates.

here are some "gender friendly" games that took place at my baby shower (I found them on various websites)...

Baby Shower Book

This isn't a game itself - it's more of a game-aid for all the other games you will be playing at the shower.
For a lot of baby shower games, you need a piece of paper to write on. Ahead of time, figure out all the games you'll be playing at the shower and print out all the "forms" they need (a page labeled "Baby Food Game" with 10 numbered blanks if you are playing the game where you guess what's in the baby food jars; a blank bingo card on one page if you are playing Baby Bingo, etc.) Make a cover that has a cute baby picture (like an Anne Geddes photo) with the baby's stats (name if already decided, or just "Baby (Last Name)", due date, etc.) Make a back page that has places for guests to write in: their name and address, messages to the mom and baby, guesses on birth date, weight, length, eye and hair color, boy and girl name ideas (if name hasn't been picked yet). Print out enough for each guest then staple together.
Guests can use the booklets to write in their answers for the baby shower games. At the end of the shower, the back page is torn off and given to the mother-to-be. The guests get to keep their books as souvenirs, and the new mom keeps the back pages as a record of who attended, memoirs for the baby, and names and addresses will be handy for sencing thank you cards later. It also makes the hostess's job easier since she doesn't have to stop and make sure guests have a sheet of paper before every game - they just need one booklet to last during the whole shower!

You will need a couple of friends to help with this one.
Go to a dollar store and buy dollar items such as soaps, candles, etc. Wrap in tissue and place in a basket.
At the shower, when you are going to be opening your gifts, announce to your guests that a timer will go off every 7 minutes and whoever's gift you are opening at that time will be awarded a gift also. Have one friend set the timer every seven minutes and another friend walk around the room with the basket to reward the winners. Everyone pays attention and wants to win with less of an effort that is used in BINGO.

Bath Towel Memories

Buy a large hooded bath towel for baby - white is best.
Purchase non-toxic fabric paint or markers in baby colors (if sex of baby is known buy color specific paint/markers--ie:pink for girl-blue for boy).
As each guest arrives have them "autograph" the towel with the paint or markers. Guests may even want to write a poem.
At end of party, present MOM with the towel!

Baby Birthday Card

Pass out blank cards to each guest, with the envelopes numbered 1 to the number of guests (say 16). Each guest can write a birthday card to the baby for that year of his/her life. (e.g. for 16 "you're learning to drive this year!") It's a great gift for the baby, especially if older relatives are present who can then be remembered years later.

Tray Of Baby Items With A Twist

Purchase several baby items (diaper, bottle, pacifier, comb etc) before the shower and arrange them all on a tray. Have the mom-to-be pass the tray around then find a reason to excuse herself. Once she is gone the hostess tells the guests to write down as many things as the Mom-to-be was wearing (color outfit, hair accessories, earrings etc). This will shock your guests because they are expecting to write down the items. They were probably not looking at the mom so it will be tough, but fun.

Baby Songs

Set a timer for 3 minutes. In that time, have your guests (individually or in teams) write down as many songs that have the word baby in the title. The person/team who has the most wins.

I hope these help you!
