It is really common to feel like you have a tooth ache when you have a sinus infection.
Your sinuses get very full and congested when you have an infection and the whole area just feels sore and uncomfortable. In some parts of our body our pain receptors are not that close together so you can often mistake pain in one area for pain in another this can happen with sinus infections.
It is also possible that a sinus infection can later cause a tooth ache because of the bacteria in associated with the infection but if you are using antibiotics to clear up the sinus infection it will probably clear up any tooth infection you may also have.
I suggest that if you find you are in a lot of pain get antibiotics. Sinus infections can take a long time to clear up even with antibiotics and they are not something you want to leave for too long as the pain can become quite incredible.

It's possible to spread the infection throughout your head especially when you blow your nose hard. Best to blow your nose just enough to get matter into the tissue.

Yep. It's a common symptom. Of course, you could have both at the same time if you have a cavity or something.
