Most reputable tattoo artists/shops offer guarantees on their tats. Most touch ups are done for free in a reasonable amount of time (guaranteed for 5 years, in example). Mine is guaranteed for life. I can have it re-colored as many times as I want for free. A great artist is Cowboy Jack, in Summersville, WV.

If you have a good artist to begin with it should be a long time before you need a touch up. I have had my first one for 7 yrs now & it still looks real good. I have never had a touch up done to it.
