I think a restaurant would be a better business, the coffee industry is already dominated by Starbucks.

Personally, I think "Coffee Houses" are a bit out of date. If it were 1995, it would of been a great idea. I would pass on the coffee shop and look into oxygen bars. They are the current trend.

It depends on how many people are in there. If there are a lot of people in there, then it is good to look into. However, pet stores are always better to look into because there are people and animals. Animals are cute, but they don't drink coffee, so there's little chance of seeing them if you are looking into a coffee shop. Adult bookstores are funny to look into, too. But they often have darkly tinted windows.

Let me tell you, I just went to this great coffee house today, with a play area for kids!!! This is an untapped market, I believe. What a great idea. I didn't mind paying more for my latte.

It depends on where you're opening it. These days where I live there's a lot of competition, but if you can find a good area, go for it!
