This wasn't a problem before, but all of the sudden, when I try to capture video from my sony video camcorder, it says that it cannot find a video device. What can I do to make this work again?

Sometimes it depends on when you turned it on, etc. Some systems work where the computer must be on before you plug in the camera, or vice versa. The manual should specify. And if you don't have the manual, you can go to the manuf. website and look up the manual online.

Switch it to "play" mode.

You might also want to try a different USB port if you have one.
