i was in an accident that was not my fault thought that i was insured do to the broker dateing my slip for the same day then was told i was uninsured at the time of the accident by the insurance company who now dropped me what do i do now to get my car fixed one car stayed at the seen other car ran im in canada

i was side swiped on both sides was deemed not at fault by opp the othere drivers where deemed at fault for the accident the one who took off is being looked for as he is 50% but my slip says it sarted the day of the accident but they will not honor there slip say i dont have insurance

another thing is i told the broker i had to move the car from the place it was at so she insured me for the date also told her opp wanted the insurance info so she emailed me the slip no the car is not able to be moved

If it was not your fault, sue the other person for damages. Their insurance is responsible for your repair bill. Why werent you covered? Sounds odd.. and then they dropped you? Call a lawyer if you can afford to.

If you can prove who did it (the car that stayed) you're okay. If you cant prove it (ie the runner) and you dont have insurance, you are out of luck... and you're stuck with the bill.

Better get some insurance soon, its illegal to drive without it in Canada. That is, if your car is still driveable.

these are the kind of things insurance co. do that makes people hate them. Was there a time when your policy became effective, if not then the day should count from midnight on or at least from when you signed. good luck and You will need a lawyer.

I am no expert but I believe you could still sew the other drivers TORT insurance for $400 dollars. It' hard to feel hard for you if you don't have insurance. I hope you mean you didn't have full coverage.

well if they put a date and time and it said u will be insured and they droped u i would sue them if it had the time and date and it was effective than u just out of luck
