The answer is NO! Dogs love Peanut Butter. Some dog treats are flavored with Peanut Butter. But....too much of a good thing can make them sick. Dogs can die from Chocolate! It is poison to a dog, but Peanut Butter, no.

Dogs go crazy for it, same as chocolate, but same as chocolate, too much isn't good for them, and how much depends on the size of the dog. Generally, people food is bad for dogs, and it leads them to bad discipline problems if you let them get away with begging for some of what you are eating. Dog food is for dogs. A little taste won't kill them, but it gets stuck in their teeth and the dog goes nuts tyring to get it loose, so some people give the dog peanut butter as a cruel joke. Make her try brushing the dogs teeth with baking soda afterwards and see how funny it is then. I've heard of people using peanut butter for other things with a dog, and would point out that is cruelty to animals and illegal in most states, and sometimes they get a well deserved bite for it in a place they have a hard time explaining.

Peanut butter is not toxic to dogs. However, don't leave a dog (or cat) alone with the peanut butter jar. It's possible that the animal will get its snout/head stuck in the jar trying to lick the last of the peanut butter out of the bottom, not be able to get the jar off, and suffocate.

Same with things like potato chip bags. Sounds bizarre, but it has happened.

Not at all. Do not give your dog to much peanut butter it may prevent them from pooping. Peanut butter actually helps the dogs coat. i say a table spoon is enough. Once a week i put a table spoon of peanut butter in my dogs hallow bone. She gets a delicious treat and she is stimulated.

no, in fact most dogs love peanut butter. It's not really healthy for them but it's not something that will kill them if given as a treat.

um not that i know of! well it's deffinately not the best thing on this planet for them and if you give your dog a lot of peanut butter he/she may get sick...but if it's just a lick it'll be fine! dogs should stick to their dog food, even though i know they'd much rather eat our food! lol my little chihuahua refuses to eat his own food unless there's a "treat" hidden in it! ANYway....no they can't die from eathing peanut butter (i think..) but chocolate is another story....♥
