i havent been the only one noticing this but theres this guy i like and he wont look at me when hes around his friends and if he sees me coming his direction he will go the other way but if hes not around his friends he will keep staring at me and he smiles at me...why is he doing this

Maybe he's very insecure. It could be that he fears being teased by his friends. You know how guys can feel about being tough...
So, maybe he thinks that having feelings for someone isn't very tough. Which is a wrong thought. That could also have something to do with his upbringing. Still, it isn't very nice towards you. You could talk to him about. Ask him if he and his friends ever talk about girls. See how he responds...
Maybe he just has loser-friends? And he doesn't want to make them jealous or something. Really, there are sooo many options of why he may behave this way... I hope you'll find out soon. And i hope it's not something nasty or anything, like him just being a jerk or something. Good luck...

He has a girlfriend. If his friends see him looking and flirting with you, most likely it will get back to his girlfriend. And starring and smiling is just harmless flirting, but do NOT take it seriously. If you are starring at him, he might be uncomfortable and that's why he's smiling and looking at you.
But seriously...if he has a girlfriend, get lost. If he cheats on his girlfriend with you, don't you think he'd do the same thing to you? Leave him alone and set your sites on someone who's actually single and not embarrased to talk to you in front of his friends. Don't get you heart broken over someone who's obviously not interested enough...

Sounds like you guys must be teenagers. That would have been a relavent point. I think he's just a little worried about his friends giving him grief. Affection isn't a very masculine thing. I would say it is a safe bet that he likes you. By that I mean he like likes you. tee he tee he

He probably likes you but not as a serious girlfriend or nothing if he did he don't have to let his girl know but he would tell his boys cuz guys will cover up for each other. So the reason he is hiding it from his boys its probably cuz he's ashamed. He is immature and dont waste your time on him !!!!

I'm sorry to share this with you, but the guys may have shared a bad rumor with him about you. Instead of dismissing it like a man, he may have believed it.
Some men do this so that they could get too you first. You should walk up to him, if you like him that much and be his friend.

he obviously likes u, but he doesnt wanna let his friends figure it out, so he ignores u when they r around. keep talking too him, go to the movies with him, talk to his best friends, he'll prolly hv an idea about whether or not the guy likes u

He might be at that age where liking a girl is akin to contracting the " Plague"...lol..he might not want his friends to know that he likes you but when they aren't around...he's free to flirt. The downside of this is waiting for him to grow up ? I'm glad I'm past all that...lol. Hope I helped you.

He thinks you are ugly or weird or geeky or something and doesn't want his friends to know he is so desperate he'd hook up with you.

He doesn't like you- at least not enough to let his frineds know. If you were someone he was REALLY interested in, he'd have no problem letting his friends know. And you should want someone who likes you enough to tell the world.
