Most teachers know about how teenagers, children act. Usually they watch for girl to boy or boy to girl eye contact, and see if they are constant. Teachers watch for this all the time... it's a teacher thing I don't understand yet. Another thing is the way two people act. If a girl goes over and talks to a guy all the time, then there is a chance a spark is about to happen. Notes in classes are obvious, small "listen-up" on hallway conversations, or plainly another student tells the teacher. It happened to me in elementary school that a friend of mine told the teacher I liked somewhere.
It all boils down to experience also... the teacher probably had the same ideas / situation as you earlier in life... they were teens/children before.
Teachers have eyes and connections everywhere... so watch out!

As a teacher I know when my students like each other by the way they behave towards each other. For example: being particularly nervous around the person, being overly sensitive by this persons comments as it concerns you, some girls giggle alot when they are around the guy they like, some boys pick on the girls they like as they try to get this girl to notice them, sometimes it's the way you look at the person and, as pointed out by others, sometimes we just hear from other students. There are so many other ways, but in general it's the way you behave. Don't forget, we've there, we've don't that!

They go to college to learn....I think they have certain lesson plans to teach at a certain city school district. The principals would tell the teachers (Or someone in the higher job place in education) about what to teach the students

Oh my god, my senior year of high school my english teacher knew I was like in love with a girl in my class and purposefully put her next to me on the seating chart...lot of good that did...lol...looking back on it 11 years later, and having seen similar situations, I get the idea that I am a little too transparent with those things!!!

Young people don't hide anything as well as they think. Teachers are observant of students behaviors and it's usually pretty obvious.

You stare, and there's a glow on your face when you look, or speak to the one you like.
