she will start looking for a safe comfortable place. usually well hidden from view. she will try different spots to find one she feels best in. the babies will start moving down into different positions too. Your cat may also have a discharge or spotting. help her feel safe by not disturbing her area. she will move them after a few days too. just keep close watch over all of them. if spots are limited help her keep the area clean.

depending on how close your cat is to you (me and mine are close) she will try to get you to follow her to her hidey hole. she will lay down and start purring, then her whole body wil tense up (contraction) if it's her first litter she will yowl like the dickens ( well yeah because childbrith hurts) depending on the cat it could take a few minutes to an hour before the first one pops out. and up to five hours for all of them to be born. Don't worry about her or her kittens she knows what to do. Good luck

She will start showing signs several hours before hand, possibly days before. She'll start nesting and will look extremely uncomfortable. Keep an eye out or you may end up with kittens in your closet or in a drawer.
