I've seen conflicting information. Some sites say that the age of consent in Minnesota is 16 (as long as you are not in a position of authority like a teacher or a boss) -- so is it 16, or 18? Regardless what if it is 18 -- say you were dating someone under 18...is it illegal to French kiss them? To feel their boobs? What if you never engage in any sort of sex or oral sex? Is it illegal to take a 15 year old to a movie or shopping?
Forget the fact that this is morally wrong...The question has nothing to do with what you think is morally right or wrong...the question is; What is legal, and what is illegal?? Where is the line in the sand? This is a gray area that I've never seen addressed and I would like to set the record straight.

the complainant is at least 16 but less than 18 years of age and the actor is more than 48 months older than the complainant and in a position of authority over the complainant, and uses this authority to cause or induce the complainant to submit. Neither mistake as to the complainant's age nor consent to the act by the complainant is a defense;ok that means if a person is 16 but not 18 and you are 4 years older it is against the law....its illegal to french kiss or to have any sexual contact with a person under 18,,, if she is 16 and you are 18 its not illegal if you both 16 not against the law....if she is 16 and you are 20 you will go to jail for being a child molister....if there is no kind of touching you can take a 15 year old to a movie ...,,,,,, lily you need to do some research for min state its called child molistation to have any type of touching , kissing for any one that is under the age of 18..... and if one is 15 and one is 19 its against the law...
