braiding your hair would be prefered because it wont damage your hair as much as a curling iron would. after you take a shower, put mousse in your hair and then braid and sleep on it. the next morning it'll be pretty and wavy.

you can also get your hair permed and ask for it to be wavy. on days you want it straight, just use a flat iron.

Well braiding and curling last the same amount depending on your hair type. Braiding you have less control over when it comes out as opposed to having using a curling iron. The only problem with using a curling iron is that it takes a lot of time and skill to master it and have it looking the way you want it to look like. Personally i find braiding easier because its less hassle in the morning just take my hair out fix it put hairspray and am out the door Where curling you have to have time waiting for the iron to heat up, if you make a mistake it takes time to re-do it. And braiding and taking it out looks nicer in certain hair types than others.

Braiding for sure. In the evening, preferably after you take a shower, braid your hair. Go to sleep :) and when you wake up take out the braid. DO NOT BRUSH THROUGH IT. This will make it poofy ( ew ). Curling Irons are nice once in a while, but it totally burns your hair and its curly instead of wavy. It also doesnt stay very well, unless you glob on hairspray or have an expensive curling iron. Back to the braid, just make one braid in the back ( piggy tails look weird when they come out ) and braid as much as you can! It come out GORGEOUS! Have Fun!!!

I have found braiding the hair when it is wet and then allowing it to dry is the best way to make hair wavy. With a curling iron it only last for a touch of time unless you have loaded your hair with hair spray or gel and that just makes your hair get damaged.

My opinion, braid dry hair then mist with water. After dry, unbraid and comb with fingers (brushing will frizz). You can then apply hairspray if need-be.
I heard braiding wet hair damages it (stretching it or something) and it takes longer to dry. You just have to experiment and see what YOU like best. Have fun with it!
Only your hair type will answer this one truthfully. My hair is long and slightly wavy, takes to braids better. It is too heavy to hold curls. I see straight hair looks good with curls though. Everyone is going to have different results.

braiding will do less damage, but the curling liron will give a more precise and consistent wave throughout your hair....if you do use a curling iron, just spray on a little heat protector on your hair, ION brand makes a good one, and you should be OK!

Braiding is less harsh on your hair and I think it creates more natural looking waves. But when pressed for time, curling irons work in pinches.
