So I've been dating this guy for about a month, and when I'm around him.. I seriously cannot get myself to talk... when I do I get kind of nervous. I've NEVER had a problem like this with any guy I've been with. I almost feel like I'm afraid I'll make myself sound stupid or something, I'm not even like that... normally I just speak my mind and am a wise-*** about everything. I really like him, and it's mutual.. his friends say he talks about me all the time, and I can feel it when we lay together.
He cracks jokes about me not talking a whole lot, but I know I'm coming up to a crossroad where it's either I talk .. and continue on with our relationship... or continue to keep my mouth stapled and it's over.
(by the way I've known him for about 4 months, and feel completely comfortable around him, except for this whole talking issue I seem to have)

Why do I seem to get quiet when I'm with him?
And what can I do to loosen up and TALK? tips?

By the way it sounds, no matter what you say, he won't think it is stupid or foolish. At worst, It'll be cute to him. I have the same problem around a female friend of mine, she noticed that I talk alot around others, but not when we are alone. So I just sucked-it -up and started talking, and it worked for the best, it gets alot easier, fast.

Oh I know that feeling. The only reason why can't talk to him freely is because you truely care about him, more than any other guy you've liked before. Just talk about whatever comes to mind, you might think it's stupid but he'll probably just roll with it or make a joke. If you can't talk to him, but feel comfortable then tell him that. He'll understand and help you loosen up. Before no time at all you'll be talking to him so much that you won't be able to stop.

Talk about football. Once you get warmed up talk about anything within 10 feet from you.
