As an agnostic, I believe in only one thing: the inadequecy of human knowledge. Humans cannot prove that a God exists and we cannot prove that one does not exist. Agnostics basically believe that we'll never know for sure so there's no use in insisting on existence or nonexistence.

Agnostic means "without knowledge." Agnostics don't claim to know that there is a god, nor do they claim to know that there isn't.

I say I'm agnostic because I see no compelling reason to believe in a god, but I know that it's impossible to prove a universal negative. I prefer the term "non-believer," but sometimes it's necessary to distinguish.

The Greek word Gnosis means knowledge, ag means no, or not. So, it means no knowledge. An agnostic does not neccessarily believe there is no God, just that we have no way of knowing for sure. Therefore, they would tend toward the no God camp.

It comes from the Greek word Gnothein or gignoskein = knowing or knowable or to know. The vowel "A" at the beginning of the word "Gnostic" gives it the opposite meaning = "not knowing" so to speak.

And it refers to::

One who thinks that it is impossible to know whether there is a God. Or one who is skeptical about the existence of God but does not profess true atheism. Or one who is doubtful or noncommittal about a future life or anything beyond material phenomena..

Its when someone doesnt strongly believe in god, but isn't atheist either. They are skeptical.

I consider myself an Agnostic.

Look the term up also for better understanding.

they are the smartest people when it comes to debating God, they say "I don't know, now leave me alone".
Honestly, they have the opinion, "there may be a God, and there may not be". There is no evidence either way, so they abstain from believeing or disbelieving in God

They are waiting to believe or not believe in a God that Religious Empires have falsely defined.

I guess that shows my prejudice:
