Yes Vampires are real, just not like we see in the movies. Being a Vampire is a state of mind a way of life for many people today. I am not one, but have always been fascinated with mythical Vampires and the human desire to be a Vampire.
Vampires exist through humans because humans want to be Vampires for the sense of erotisim and thought of eternal life.

I could give you a serious answer, or I could give you a sarcastic one. I'll opt for the serious one, because my brain hurts from being snarky all day.
There is a mental disorder called Renfield's Syndrome, and it's characterized by a craving for human blood. The patients think they need it to survive. That is the closet a human being can ever come to being a vampire. And it's treatable.

I once read a carton called Chester the Molester - He was a deviate looking person. He was licking his bloody looking chops. The caption on the cartoon said "I love this time of month" Evidently this cartoon conjured up thoughts of many vampires within society.
