"Dating" means to go OUT somewhere. At 12 most girls and boys call it "dating" when they like someone. And next week they like somebody else..........
It isn't dating to say a guy or girl likes each other.
However....sexual contact at age 12 is certainly not normal nor acceptable for girls and boys of that age.
It is an age of discovery, learning and crisis. But certainly not an age to be sexual.

Derogatory comments like "12 year old sluts" shouldn't be taken to heart. People that say such things about kids should be drawn and quartered. Don't listen to that sort of stuff.............
You are perfectly normal to feel what you do. It is not a statement to your moral value to wonder at the complications of becoming sexual and wanting to have answers to certain questions.

12 is way too young to date, nevermind sex! Do not be pressured into a bad situation. Keep yourself healthy and happy with your friends. Follow these rules and you will be happy.
#1 Keep your body clean
#2 Do not touch drugs or alcohol or cigarettes
#3 Get some fun friends
#4 Get involved in school activities that interest you
Follow this and you will gain respect from your peers and then when it is a more appropriate time, you will get a great boyfriend who is worth going out with. Make sure that you talk to your parents and let them know your friends etc. This will earn trust with them and make your teen years more enjoyable for you all. Good Luck!

12 is too young to have a boyfriend and it is certainly too young for sexual activity! Those girls who are "getting around" will have a terrible reputation and have a hard time getting into a meaningful relationship when they are older. You should wait until you are older to have a boyfreind...there is no rush....you have the rest of your life to deal with boys!

I have seen people dating at age ages of 12 and 13. I think it's alright to start that young to see what it's like. I havent tried dating at that age, so I would not know much else to say. I dont think that you should go any further than just 'dating' at that age.

Yes too young and not good at all, thats too young! At 16 maybe but still a bit too young. Kids nowadays need to learn that there is nothing to rush for, there is a whole big world out there when you turn 18.

It depends. Does it mean that you kinda like each other, see each other at school and hang out? Or, are you meaning going farther than that? If it's the latter, then yes, you are too young to have a boyfriend with all the extras involved.

At the age of 12 you shouldn't be worrying so much about dating, but I am sure that it will be happening soon just remember because everyone else is doing it doesn't mean you have to....take your time you have a long life to live and don't mess it up because everyone else is having relationships with the guys

if you want a boyfriend then go get a boyfriend 12 is not to young 6 is to young but im 13 and im workin on a boyfriend but i had a bofriend when i was 11 12 is so not to young girls your age just tell you that so they can go get him..

Being old fashioned as I am I have to say yes in the way that I am reading your question. I gotta wonder what the parents of these kids are doing and is what YOU think or perceive to be going on....really happening. I hope the the latter.
