Did the guys who wrote the Bible hear 'voices' in their heads and thought those voices was God telling the what to write down word for word?

How did they make up the bible stories? Take Noah and the arc. Did Noah take two kangaroos on to the arc? How? Kangaroos are only found in Australia, not the middle east. So how come we have kangaroos today?

The Bible "word of God " was given to the prophets, Patriarchs, son of God thru dreams, visions and audible voice. We call this a revelations. The word of God or the revelations has purpose to be manifested if you read the old and the new testament. All those who write the bible are inspired by God himself. All the children of God knows this or those who follow the truth. If you dont know maybe because you are not a Godly person that until now God is still a question to you. Its only the ignorant spiritually who usually ask this question.

No-one said it was "direct", but inerrant. "Direct" would have implied that God put pen to paper, or papyrus, or whatever God writes on, and did it himself.

The Christian faith teaches variously that either the original thoughts were inerrant, that the scribes were inerrant in their copy, that those who chose the canons were inerrant, and / or that the translators were inerrant. It is up to the individual denominations to decide where the buck stops.

Anyone can poke theoretical holes in various parts of the Bible, but there are people who have done much more thinking about these things that have very good answers. In any case, the world changed between the time of Adam and now (however you choose to measure that time), and even now, we see species that exist in one or few places that used to be ubiquitous.

I'm not a Christian, but there are some arguments that have already been thought of and answered. Yours is among those. Check with the Bible Answer Man if you really want answers to such questions.

this argument has been going on for a while, and the fanatics still follow the bible like a bunch of braindead delusional nutcases.
at least the majority of modern christians apply a fine filter of common sense and take the better morales only, but some remain who should be locked up.
and i stand by this; the bible is a millenia old piece of fantasy literature written by delusional gullible nutcase control freaks on pot (or whatever they had at that time) to control the equally gullible uneducated masses of the time. its regrettable some who are still as mindless still survive, but i suppose the stubbornness of a donkey was a survival trait when they were the majority and butchering those they failed to convert by force.

kangaroos just popped into existence just after australia itself managed to disembark from the ark where noah was geting his kids to, well, u know. (i don't wanna say it)
the earth is still square, and we're the center of the universe, and until we start praying for it gravity will let us down (or up as the case may be), and the people who believe in evolution can go to hell as monkeys ,tyvm.

bush has proved himself worthy of the madhouse, but presidential immunity keeps him out. thats the fairness of god's wonderful earth for ya.

It is not the direct word of god, it is the interpertation of events that were handed down generation to generation by word and was then transcribed into text with the authors being Monks and Priests having sole say what was included into the text and not. There is NO WAY it is the word of god whether god exists or not. It is purely a representation of that factors beleifs written down.

It's symbollism inspired by something.

Ask yourself, "How did Noah get that many animals on such a small boat?" for a better connundrum, not Kangaroos.

More than 1 question here.
1. God guided the writing of the writers. Sometimes conscioulsy, sometimes not.
2. You answered your question. Those kangaroos had to come from somewhere. They were distributed around the world after the flood.

...You are incorrect. Observe, from 2 Peter 1:
...20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one's own interpretation,
...21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.

RE: Noah and the ark - a careful reading of Genesis 7 shows that the Lord caused the animals to come to the Noah in the ark.

2 Timothy 3:16 All scripture [is] given by inspiration of God, and [is] profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Isaiah 8:1 Moreover the LORD said unto me, Take thee a great roll, and write in it with a man's pen concerning Mahershalalhashbaz.

the bible is supposed to be the inspired writtings of spiritual men. In FACT it is merely the socio-political rantings of political tyrants who edited it over 2000 years to meet their need to control the poor and middle classes. the VATICAN is the #1 offender and should be blown up.
