We knew eachother for a year before we started dating. We've dated for 5 years and just got engaged last week! We hope to be engaged for at least 6 months before starting to plan the wedding, we want to enjoy our engagement before the craziness begins.

Dated 8 Months before we got engaged. Our engagement lasted 2 1/2 years... Going to be married in June YAY!!

My husband and I dated for 5 years. I also knew him 5 years before that. That 5th year, we got engaged. Our original date was for a year after that (just for the importance of the date). We actual got married 3 months later. We moved the date up due to illnesses in both our families. We wanted to make sure those family members had the chance to be there. Very happy we did that as my grandfather passed this year and it was before our original date. He was too ill to make it to our wedding, but he did know I married a man that he liked very much.

We met Memorial Day, started talking about getting married a month and a half later and got engaged Labor Day weekend. We got married in December of the next year, 13 years ago today.

We met on August 8th. Got engaged superbowl weekend. Moved in together in April got married the end of the following May. 16 months after we got engaged. We've been married for almost 17 years now...I guess we are doing something right. Good luck to you...

Started dating his when he was 15, got engaged when he was 22 married his when he was 25 and still going at 32

Dated for 11 months from ages 12 to 13.
Best friends since then til present time.
So, from 1999 to 2007 (almost). We have known eachother. (8 years, almost 9).
Started re-dating July 4th, 2005. Engaged August 14th, 2006.
Getting married Feb 23, 2008. We will be engaged roughly 18 months.
And going to have fun in Hawaii! who oooh. Making arrangments next week when we visit Hawaii. Then he goes to Iraq next year, for most of the year. So, he has a wedding to look forward to and keep him going in Iraq.
