Why can't I talk to him?

So I've been dating this guy for about a month, and when I'm around him.. I seriously cannot get myself to talk... when I do I get kind of nervous. I've NEVER had a problem like this with any guy I've been with. I almost feel like I'm afraid I'll make myself sound stupid or something, I'm not even like that... normally I just speak my mind and am a wise-*** about everything. I really like him, and it's mutual.. his friends say he talks about me all the time, and I can feel it when we lay together.
He cracks jokes about me not talking a whole lot, but I know I'm coming up to a crossroad where it's either I talk .. and continue on with our relationship... or continue to keep my mouth stapled and it's over.

Why do I seem to get quiet when I'm with him?
And what can I do to loosen up and TALK? tips?

I've definantly had this happen... when I was shy around certain guys it happened when I wasnt friends with the guy first and it was harder to talk during while dating him because I didnt know much about him just liked him alot, hung out.. like 10 times and.. then started to date

I tried so hard to get myself out of that but it wasnt my fault .. I tried to get to know him better its just... he would only answer me short question like What do u like do for fun? answer: play basketball, me: What else, him: doesnt answer

and thats just how it went in completely killed me cause communication is important

just maybe try getting to know him better.. ask him things.. and be like Oh ya me 2.. until you start feeling comfortable in the situation

It sounds like you like him alot, and you just dont want to mess what you too up...so you say nothing at all at times!!! For starters, he must like you if you are together....and your together because he likes you for you(meaning before the relationship he like how you acted) so i think you should just be yourself...always know that he likes you for you and that's not changing anytime soon....so talk girl!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
