For the last 2 months when I've gotten my menstral period i've been having really bad pain in my stomach. It feels like something is tearing everytime I stand up and walk around or move around alot I get this feeling. Last month I felt like I was going to give birth. like a bunch of contractions.. But I'm Not pregnant.. I've been taking lots of pain medicine to try and make the pain go away but nothing seems to work.. In addition to all this I have a sist on my ovary that has pain as well.. The thing is I can usually deal with a day worth of cramps.. but not days worth pain and not being able to move and feel like crap

My advice is to get a full checkup with your doctor. Perhaps the cyst is just causing more pain now, but maybe it's something else, and no one here can see inside you to see what might be causing your problem. Even if a doctor were to answer here, he couldn't SEE what it was. So your best bet is to get a doctor to give you a checkup so at least you know. Then whatever he finds (if physical) you can work out how to deal with it. If he doesn't find anything physically wrong that can be handled, then get another opinion. The pain medicine would only be covering the symptoms, and if it's not working anyhow, you really should go to the doctor.

Menstral cramps are often due to extra prostaglandins, as identified by extra amounts being excreted in the menstral blood. When you take a compound like ibuprofin (or one of the anti-inflammatory agents) the prostaglandin hormone is supressed and the pain is much less.

If over the counter ibuprofin does not work, please see a physician for a stronger product that is made especially for menstral cramps. When the cramps are managed, usually the pelvic pressure is less.

Pelvic pain is sometimes difficult to identify and treat. It would be worth seeing a GYN / OB physician to solve your problem.

Good Luck. LH

Ok, for an attempt at relief right now, try putting a heating pad on your abdomen on a low setting for a little while. Not too long at any one time. Stay off of your feet when you can - that will relieve any downward pressure. I too had a cyst on my ovary and it hurt like hell. Best advice? Call your doctor right away. Don't wait until your next cycle. Do it now.
Hope you feel better soon!

Arnica cream could support too - it promotes therapy and can be utilized at teh equal time as Ibuprofen. Also observe internally lots of meals and externally lots of hugs - this will have to ease the grumps! :) Hope he feels larger quickly!

You might want to take yourself to the doctor and let him diagnose it. My Dog has a lot of pain from an injury ans when she wants a shot of pain killer she barks..just look at her, she's a Happy Camper.

what has your doctor suggested ? usually ovarian cysts do not cause pain unless they are large complicated cysts or they rupture. Have you seen a gynecologist ?
