Would you be willing to grant amnesty....if....?

All illegal immigrants were required:

1. To have a background check for ANYTHING since they were 18. If ANYTHING criminal was on their record they would immediately be disqualified.
2. To learn English (not Spanglish….FLUENT English!!)
3. Pay 30% of their income in taxes (federal) in addition to all other applicable taxes to make up for all taxes not paid for 2 years….regardless if you were here 2 weeks or 10 years…just a flat 2 years.


In addition:

1. A fence that was impenetrable was constructed. Completely along the Mexican/US/Canadian border
2. All illegal immigrants that are currently incarcerated were to be sent to their country of origin with no chance of ever being allowed to come back to the US.
3. All said “anchor babies” would have to return home with parent if parent did not meet the requirements.

I am by far the last person that is for amnesty….you have no idea the depths of which I would love to have every last one of them deported….

But…maybe we can compromise.

To many of them have so many id's. I don't know how you can begin to even run a background check on them since most of their information is false. Their income taxes would not be enough to even pay for the amnesty . You can send them back all day and they shall return all day. The incarcerated stay put till they have did all of their time. A fence along with Military Planes and armed troops station at the border. A border patrol alone has failed regardless of how many agents they have it just does not work.English must be learned by all no excuses it's to hard or they work 120 hours a week. They all should have to go home and apply though other means. Mexico shall be required to pay the full cost of anyone here illegally. Anchor baby law must be removed it's old,it's outdated,it's abused to much. Is my take

1. Background check. Fine. Felons disqualified.
2. English. Yes. How long will you give them to learn? Are you going to pay for their classes? Are you going to support school districts that have bilingual curriculum?
3. Taxes. They should pay the same taxes that everyone pays. Your idea is more like a punishment for attempting to follow the law. You can't tie someone's hands and then tell them to swim.

In addition
1. The fence. Who's going to pay for it? Who's going to guard it? Who's going to pay for repairs? This, like everything else, is a double edged sword. You are asking the government to start a massive project. The money comes from taxpayers.
2. All incarcerated immigrants? Felons or misdemeanors? What about their families?
3. Anchor babies. Don't forget. The children, born on U.S. soil, are United States Citizens. You can't just toss out a U.S. citizen.

More than all this, the whole situation revolves around money. Instead of being so angry with illegal immigrants, get mad at our greedy big businessmen. Money is what makes America spin. As long at large companies can make a dollar off of the backs of illegal aliens, the problem will never be solved. Big business also supports and lobbies our politicians.

As long as Coca Cola can pay an illegal alien $3.00 per hour instead of $6.00, they'll keep hiring them. My ex was a construction worker. 70% of his coworkers were illegal. The houses and apartments you live in were probably built by illegals. If the contractor can pay an illegal $50 for an entire days work instead of $12.00 per hour, why not?

I recommend that you all take an interest in local and state government. VOTE! It's the best thing you can do.

No. No amnesty for any compromises. These are the laws, not suggestions or bargaining tools. All illegals should be required to go through the same applications and background checks. In fact, anyone who is caught as an illegal should be put at the back of the line just to prove a point.

No compromise! All illegals are law breakers and are stealing benefits from American taxpayers! Do you think that would be fair to the many who have come through our borders legally? I think they should be given amnesty not illegals! The others need to go home and stop getting free medical care, free section 8 housing, free educations! I am not willing to compromise at all. We thought we were compromising with the last amnesty, and if they sail here instead of walk over the border, then we will have to do the same thing 20 years down the road again. The only answer is deportations, law enforcement, and a huge wall between us and mexico.

first off I'm in the military and we dont want anyone to join that doesn't want to be in. it puts us all at risk second u say background checks for anything illegal well if they entered the country illegally then guess what they all fail the background check so no no amnesty I'm an immigrant and so is my wife i waited a long time to do it the legal way and come to this country and now i fight for the freedom that i waited so long to get its not fair to grant amnesty to those that aren't willing to fallow the rules and regulations.

There's only two things missing from your list:

8 years of compulsory military service (lets see if any of them will desert like some Yanks do).

And swearing of total and undivided loyalty and allegience to the United States of America. No more "Viva Mexico" or whatever other divided loyalties they may have.

And if they (the illegals) dont want to be US citizens... then dont bother negotiating with them and just deport the ingrates.
