I've heard taht that teeth grinding are a side affect of intestinal worms. Is this true?

That is true with a few people but not so many....usually a bad habit. The correct way to diagnosis intestinal worms is by a stool sample done by a physician, but ocassionally, you can see round worms or pieces of tape worms in the stool. Weight loss is not a sign as it takes many, many worms to cause a weight loss in Americans or other well-fed people. Dentists often give patients a rubber tooth guard to break the tooth-grinding habit.

no grinding your teeth is not a side effect of worms. Losing weight, waking up in the middle of the night say around 1-3 am. those are effects of having worms/ parasites.

I can tell you that teeth grinding does not mean you have worms. Different worms cause different symptoms. Pin worms cause extreme anal itching at night. Tape worms also can be identified as little rice or tiny noodles on your butt or in your underwear. If a tape worm is too big it can cause malnutrition. If you think you have worms go to a doctor. Believe they have seen much worse things than worms.
