Religionists often say that the members of other religions and denominations have been led astray from the true religion by satan the deceiver. Given that no single denomination comprises a majority of believers, doesn't that indicate that satan is a much more effective communicator and organizer than god? Why would god allow such a state of things to exist?

What God impart to us is spiritually subtle. But what Satan impart to us is very close to our dark side - hunger for power, sex, wealth, etc. So when Satan come and talk about the ways that we can gain power, sex, wealth, etc while still being able to live a good life (which is distorted from the real good), we truthfully believe in it. For example, in Buddhism taught about doing good for goodness sake alone. But nowadays, Buddhist masters taught us to do good for good merit. Previously it was about doing good as nobility (no reward), but now it is about doing good for reward. Which one appeal to you more? If a "God" suddenly appear to you and say you can have hardcore sex and still be able to do good by satisfying your mate as well, do you think you won't fall for that?

God has a hard time because what He impart to us is not to our earthly desire and liking.

"satan" is more influential because there is a "satan" in every religion. BUT there isnt a "God" in every religion.

because in order for a religion to do well.. it has to have an enemy to provide a reason for believing in this religion. (to save the people)

Jesus is supposed to make a home for everyone in Heaven... Would you want to work that hard?
