I have similar hair, and I usually do either one of two things:
1. Put leave in conditioner in it, blow it dry, and then straighten it with a ceramic straightening iron (don't do this too often, or you will damage your hair - I usually just do this for special occasions).
2. Condition it well, put in some gel or mousse, and comb with a wide tooth comb while it's still wet. Then scrunch it a little to enhance the wave. Try not to touch it too much; the more you touch it, the more it can puff up.
Whoever said layers are a must is right. Also, not shampooing your hair every day, deep conditioning at least once a week, and combing carefully to avoid breakage will help. Someone once told me that frizzy or puffy hair is thirsty hair, and I think she was absolutely right.

Hi Luv,
(I do too if I'm not careful!) First, you haven't mentioned anything about your type of hair cut. You absolutely must have layers in your hair! Several reasons why. One, you take some of the bulk away. Two, it will allow your hair to curl easier (avoiding frizziness from long hair trying to be straight) and in the end, giving you more body. I would suggest using a leave in conditioner (not too heavy) like Nexus Humectress. I absolutely love that conditioner. I have used and do not like the hair serums. They are far too oily and heavy. I may have "puffy hair" but I sure don't want it greasy either. I have learned to love my curls (even though a change would be welcome) and wouldn't trade them for straight hair any day. I have hair with personality, not a mind of it's own. Please let me know if this helped!

I never have puffy hair BECAUSE I swear by Pantene Curl Defining Mousse. I've tried mouse that costs up to $30 from around the world. I've tried biosilk and all kinds of anti-frizz junk! It takes trial and error to find just the right amount you'll need to keep your hair from being to limp and soft or too hard and crunchy, but once you find out the amount that works for you, your hair will pretty much do what YOU tell it to.

Get an intense conditioner and use hot oil treatments from time to time. Do not rinse out all of the conditioner in your hair when you shower. Don't blow dry your hair, either. Finally, there are leave-in conditioners. Use those in addition to the heavy conditioner.

i have really curly hair and i use mousse or hair gel in my hair. the key is to style your hair when it's wet and not to brush it after you put hair products in it. I also recommend getting shampoo and conditioner especially for wavy or curly hair. it helps to tame the frizz and the puffiness.

I HAVE THE SAME IDEA BUT I TRY TO FIX IT WITHOUT DAMAGING MY HAIR WITH THE HAIR STRAIGHTNER, CURLERS, ETC...sry about the capital leters..........i normally put my hair in a ponytail, and put on silk...biosilk, sammy silk etc... anyways, so put it on and brush your hair, then twist your hair for a while, five-10 minutes, it'll make it look really shiny, smotha and like you did it on the iron. try it, i get compelents on my hair all the time...last but not least, wrap a ribbon on your hair. instead of putting your hair in the middle of youtr hair, put it in a high, side, ponytail, its really pretty once you try it.....to keep the hair in the curly way, after twisting, don't put hair spray but every now and then, twist it again!!!!!!! hoped this helped =)

Rubbing a few drops of oil on damp hair. That's the best solution I could find. I also have the same problem. I use jojoba oil, but olive or canola oil is fine too.

I have frizzy moderately curly hair and I use a leave in conditioner (a spray doesn't leave your hair gunky feeling) and a gel. I use a smoothing gel, and it works great.

You can hide stuff in it, like sneak chalupas past security if you're going into a building that doesn't allow food...
