After a nice dinner on Valentine's day, my (then) boyfriend gave me a Valentine's card that said, "To my Fiancee" on the outside. I was confused, thinking he had gotten the wrong card. When I looked over at him, he was down on one knee, opening the engagement ring box. Then he said the traditional words all girls long to hear..... "Will you marry me?" Of course I said yes, and we've been married for almost 18 years.

I had the most unoriginal, unplanned proposal ever. It was not a big memory in my life. We went to pay on the ring. Little did I know he paid it off and had it all the way home. When we got there I went about doing whatever and he called me into the other room where I found him kneeling. I was surprised yes, will it remain in my memory forever as a beautiful moment. NO! DONT BLOW YOUR WAD TOO SOON. Plan it. And in public in front of everyone is not always so great.

It wasn't original really, but it took me by surprise. He told me he was looking for jewelry for me, but I assumed a necklace or something.
We lived a bit of distance apart, so I took the train up to see him on the weekends. This had only happened for about 5 weeks when he popped the question.
He picked me up from the train station holding a single red rose. He looked excited to see me, like a kid in a candy store. He held my hand and quickly raced me back to his pad. He opens the door and there's rose petals in a path leading through the house. He tells me to follow it, so I walk down the hallway and it leads me to his bedroom. There's rose petals completely covering the bed and there's candles lit on every surface of the room. He sat me down in a chair and got down on one knee. Blew me away! I was thinking that this was just some big romantic gesture! I said Yes! We've been married for 3 years this month.

We were in the delivery room. He looked into my son's eyes and said "What do you say kiddo? Let's make this threesome a family". My son peed in his face. We were married 6 weeks later and 24 years later, still are.
