A man tells a woman that he doesn't want a serious relationship because he is busy with career and kids but is willing to hang out and have fun. The woman agrees to this. Then about a month later gets angry because the man isn't paying her enough attention. Why does the man get a bad rap when he was honest up front?

Because women are catty sometimes and want attention especially in the early stages of a realtionship! !!!!! Get rid of her and find someone who will understand and appreciate that you are a devoted father.

Naw honest men do not get a bad rap- Only from women who are disshonest. She was just hoping you would fall for her and the more time she spent with you the more she let herself get wrapped up in the fantasy- not too good of a friend, but a womans downfall, I gotta keep myself in check sometimes.

And there is no such thing as "mixed signals" when you say you just wanna be friends. If some thing you did was over her "friend" line, like a kiss on the cheek or something, she should have spoken up (just commenting on another persons responce) uhm.. I think thats it

Nope. Woman to blame. You spelled it out. She got caught up. Unless you didn't send mixed signals or slip up in a moment of passion and tell her you wanted more.... she's a clinger. Have no shame bud.

girls (and guys) tend to get frustrated when they can't get what they want out of a partner. in your case, you did nothing wrong. you were open and honest about your availability.. she just wants more of your time.. could be time to break up if she seems to want more than you are willing to give

he shouldnt be. i have so much more respect for an honest man than one who will lie to my face or tell me what he thinks that i want to hear. sounds like she wants more of a commitment than hes ready to offer
