Tough one.
I don't like the way women have to go around wearing sheets over their heads. Whatever they're called.
Plus stoning to death and infibulation (look it up, pretty gross) are abusive practices I don't agree with.
Muslim Women get a really rough deal in my view, even if they have to pretend they like it or else. If a woman converts to Islam, she does it to please some Muslim guy she's with. Otherwise she just likes being humiliated. Also I've noticed that the guys who cover their wives up then go around literally drooling over any girl wearing normal clothing, so a bit hypocritical, really.
This doesn't mean there aren't many nice people among Muslims, I bet there are decent folks and nasty ones just like there are in the Western world. As long as you're not a woman they're probably nice to you.

Although I don't know all of them I am very fond of the ones that I do know. They have welcomed me on several occasions to their mosques and have treated me very kindly while I was there.
One of my favorite professors is a Muslim and she is one of the gentlest souls I know...you just feel peace around her.
I am not a Muslim and would not convert simply because I do not believe in much of the Dogma...but that doesn't make a bad religion...just not one for me!

yeh, i like them. they're people just like you and me. religion doesnt matter as long as the person's good. i have two best friends who are muslim and they're the best people i've ever come across. so i think its wrong to assume that all muslims should be hated.
its just a word starting with M and ending with USLIM. its nothing else. every religion has its traditions and culture and its wrong to ridicule someone for following them.

i think muslims are people that, like all people, need to be taken individually, not as a group. after all, when you look at who you are, do you think of yourself as a person or a group? i hope the latter, for your sake. my wife is muslim, i am not. she loves me, her family doesn't like that she married me because i am not muslim. it's too bad for them and it's fine with us because we love each other incredibly. but not all muslims are like her family. if we continue to stereotype groups of people in a convenient package, we risk alienating most of the world and that is simply a bad idea.

I suspect they are much like any other section of the worlds community. Some good some bad and some who are very dangerous. Every country has some of those.

I'm married to one and I love him and his family. He has a brother named Osama too. Technically I'm supposed to convert, but there are many parts of Islam's permissions for women that I don't agree with so I won't be converting.

the muslims that are in the us i think are very diferent than the muslims in the midle east. i do not trust them becaus their holy book the koran teaches to use violence to conquor the world in the name of muhamad. the armed conflics that they are in is what speaks most loudly about islam/muslims, and that is they are not lavers of peace. look up what they are doing in the Sudan in Africa.

I hate them because they are pushy and coercive. They dislike and disrespect people of other religions. While Islam is a good religion, it's teachings are primitive, suitable only to humans of lower intellect.
