If you are just walking around and not really shopping, then you will probably need about $100. That includes going into a few attractions, and then your meals.

If you want to eat at nicer restaurants, add another $50 for a nice dinner and drinks.

whatever the amount u decide...make sure u don't let ANY one know .....
Are you a memeber of AAA ?? u can call them and they will give u travel tips....
bring enough money to expect to pay for EVERY THING ..... goodness even water isn't free any more.....
If u look and act like a tourist .. u will spend more than u want to or need to.....

if ur just looking around u may want to take notes just incase u want to plan another walk in the City ...... I've done that many times .... and the second trip was much better than the first .....

I'm sry for not given u an exact dollar amount ..since I'm not sure of the route ur traveling ..... or wanting to visit...... its better to go with more than u think u need ..... than to go short ......
be prepared for the emergency spending ... but have fun like nothing can go wrong :)
hope that helps.....

At least $ 100 to $ 200 dollars - you might get hungry, or want a coffee from Starbucks, or decide to buy something, or want to go see a tourist attraction like a museum or something.

depends what you want to do...if you want to go eat at an affordable place, then Chinatown is the perfect place. trust me i live in nyc
and shopping @ SoHo is great as well.
But I think around $300for a day of shopping and eating will do you just fine.

NYC is expensive. Walk up 5th and shop and we spent six thousand in one day. You can spend that for one dress, but we got a years worth of special stuff.
