I want to add a few things too...we've been dating for just over a year and a half now, and he's going to university next fall. i will be too...but i just got turned down to the one i really wanted to go to. i'll be going to the community college near my house. so he'll be away from me most of the next four years. but we both would never cheat on each other. we love each other very much and both see ourselves with each other in the future.

yay...more details! lol. ok...we would both finish college and then get married. and we wouldn't even have kids until about one or two years after that. but that's besides the point. but yes...we would finish college first then get married.

No, if someone's in love, and the other person is in love too, I say go for it.
But I think it's a good thing, to finish college, and then get married- maybe if someone was 18 and wanted to get married, they could vow each other to finish college, and then get married the day after they graduiate!

I have two friends who are getting married at 18, seems like a trend is going on! but for one it turns out they broke up... I think 18 is too young... I am only 17 and I think that you have to know a person, it takes time to know a person.... 18 is too young.. but it depends on how much the couple loves each other.. THAT IS THE IMPORTANT FACTOR.. if you love this person, and u cannot imagine life with out them... Marry them, work it out... That is what I think.....

Im 18 and engaged, at first we were happy but then we found out who the other half was and we are not so sure anymore so just make sure he treats you right and that it is love.
We are in college, and we love eachother more then anything but it still may not work out. Just make sure to live with before you get married to make sure he does not change. That is what happend in my case

No intellegent human will decide on things that have the potential to change life at 18. Wait until you're atleast 26 before you decide on engagement. I am sorry if i disappointed you with my answer. But take my word for it. You wont regret waiting. Infact, after ten years, if you still remember this little answer, you'll thank me for it.

I would personally say 21 is the youngest you should get engaged at. but then again if you truly like the person and you think you are ready I would say go for it.

Absolutely to young. You should be in your 20's. And even then in my opinion you should live with each other for about a year at least.
