It would be a hassle to carry water everywhere we go. A moist wipe is much more convenient.

Use water when you are at home or whenever water is available. It's cleaner. When you are in a public toilet, you have no choice but to use toilet paper or moist wipes, but once you get home, get a shower immediately or use water to clean again. Using toilet paper is definitely not as clean as water.

i think that most people don't use waters because they are getting perfectly clean using just toilet paper. if they aren't then i am sure they will go and use some water.

most houses in the US do not have bidets. the flushable wipes are becoming very popular now.

before they were flushable it was just gross to put adult poop in the trash can. makes me want to throw up just thinking about it. yuck.

putting water on a toilet paper is just a mess too. falls apart and leaves cotton places where you don't want it to be!

take care.

In our society, the source of water is not close to the toilet. In other cultures, a jug of water is left near the toilet so it can be used. Not many houses have a bidet installed, so it has become the norm to NOT use water and instead use only toilet tissue.

Most people don't have a bidet. You should invent a portable bidet - I'd bet you'd make millions.
