Im pro-life and I was just carious as to whether you were for partial abortions to. Thats where the baby would be born half way, and then they would stab it in the skull with something sharp puncturing their brain, and then they would bleed to death and die. I believe this practice has been band, but im not sure. Would you also like partial abortions brought back too?

Go to this website or just go to google and look this up.

Apparantly russell is right. This terrible thing is done.

I'm pro-choice, but I feel that abortion should be done in the 1st trimester if the woman doesn't want the baby. And during the 2nd trimester if there is something medically wrong with it.

What a terrible way to die. I'm crying.

And for as awful as that is there's Dilatation & Evacuation it's even worse. It involves the live dismemberment of the baby and piecemeal removal from below.

A pliers-like instrument is used because the baby’s bones are calcified, as is the skull. There is no anesthetic for the baby. The abortionist inserts the instrument up into the uterus, seizes a leg or other part of the body, and, with a twisting motion, tears it from the baby’s body. This is repeated again and again. The spine must be snapped, and the skull crushed to remove them. The nurse’s job is to reassemble the body parts to be sure that all are removed.

I think death especially for the innocent should be quick and painless.

This is a term that was essentially invented by people who are opposed to abortion in any form. Aborting a fetus past the fifth month is an ugly thing, no matter what your side in the debate. There are very few of these procedures performed, and most are due to a health problem with the mother, or a severe problem with the possible viability of the fetus. I don't believe that an abortion in the 3rd term of pregnancy should be allowed unless there is substantial danger to the mother or the fetus, and that should probabaly not hinge on one man's (Dr's) opinion. I am pro-choice. If I were king, I would allow a woman one abortion, possibly two under extrordinary circumstances, then she would have to be sterilized. Abortion is no substitute for birth control.

Honestly I have not heard of partial birth abortions being performed actively. In fact they have set limits on the months they are allowed up to, and if those are violated doctors can lose their lisence.

This sounds like something you have overheard rather than actively investigated.

Am I for actively using abortions for birth control, no. But what are you going to tell a 14 year old girl who has been raped by her step dad or worse her own father? What do you tell the parents of a baby that would not survive a heart condition and they would give birth in 9 months to still born child? There are never black and white answers to questions in life. Unfortunately there are very bad things that happen to good people. And if this helps them, and also makes it so that there is a little less pain in the world then yes their should be a choice.

Get out and talk to people, understand don't judge. Christ didn't want us to judge one another, he wanted us to love and accept. He hung around the lowest denizens of society, not the elite and pious. Never forget this.

People who can't live their own lives need their skulls stabbed! Live your own life! Quit worrying about others, YOU ARE NOT GOD! And you ARE NOT perfect, people like you need to stop pointing your dirty fingers at other people just because you believe something and someone else doesn't, it doesn't make you a better person at all and those that are pro-choice are not any worse of people! You are only human, not higher than anyone else! And what about people who are raped?? They should carry the child for nine months, 9 MONTHS of being reminded about that terrifying night/day in their lives, and then have the baby, and give it away, destroying possibly her figure, possibly having complications, and knowing everytime she looks into the eyes of that child, that half of it is the works of Satan??? You people need to shut your unintelligent faces, and close your eyes to what you don't agree with, if you see something on TV that you don't like, you change the channel right?? Well turn away to what you don't agree with, just because you think something is wrong DOES NOT necessarily mean it is, and your whole skull poking comment is as dumb as it comes! Maybe that happened in the 16th century or something, but not in my lifetime! Grow up and get a life of your own, I'm sure dealing with just you is enough of a pain in the *** as it is!!

From what I understand theres no such things and the people who are "prolife" just make it up. Why cant you just live your own life and leave others alone. Why do you have to judge people. No one is perfect, not even you, and everyone is going to do what other people view as wrong. Let me ask you this if a woman is raped do you think its wrong for her to take the morning after pill since its a form of abortion? If a woman finds out that shes so many weeks preg but if she continues the preg. she will die at birth. Do you think she should leave behind her family because you believe abortion is wrong? You dont have the power to judge people, and in the end you will be judged so why dont you keep that in mind.

I am pro-choice but the idea of partial birth abortions horrifies me! Frankly I believe that if a pregnancy has gone on that long that it should continue. Aren't partial births done because the baby has some severe physical and/or mental disability and would die not long after birth anyhow?

I am pro-choice, but I don't think it is a black or white situation. And I don't think it is your position to point fingers and make accusations. I agree with all the other people who say this "partial" abortion stuff is either made up or something you overheard. Get your facts straight before you go assuming things.

I'm pro-choice because no one not even a potential person (as 'babies' who are not born are not people) has a right to use my body or anyone elses body without permission. Simply having sex or having a working reproductive system is NOT permission. That's like saying wearing sexy clothing is permission to rape or leaving your door unlocked is giving a serial killer permission to stab you to death and take your kidneys.

As for 'partial birth abortion' I doubt it happens except in the pro-liars wet dream.

There are NO such things as "partial birth" abortions...that is a misnomer pro lifer's use to gain an emotional hold on someone. It simply does not happen, and never did. If you want to discuss the subject of abortion intelligenly I suggest you get a better education in the subject than myths, old wives tales and the horror propaganda the pro life media puts out.
