Yes I believe that is one of their main objectives. The bible tells them to "go forth into all the world and preach the gospel to every living creature".

They believe they are doing people a favor by saving them from hell, and more importantly they believe they are doing the lord's work.

"Go ye into the World and preach the Gospel to every creature." This is not the goal of "Christians". This is divine order and reality that was invisioned in God's mind before the foundation of the Earth. Preaching the Gospel is a necessary step in the reality of man. He cannot be held responsible for what he does not know. There are five different ministries in the body of Christ and they have been put in place for the spreading of God's message, that was started by Jesus and ordained on us to complete.these five basic ministers are Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Teachers, and pastors. The Word of God is clear that the Holy Spirit is the teacher, so is this a conflict. Not at all, the person/human doing the teaching is allowing God to teach out of them. This is the same with all ministry. All that is happening is that man lost touch with reality and has been wandering in the desert throughout history. Christ was sent here to restore man to rightful thinking. For the big picture to continue we must first finish the plan for Earth and humanity. It ain't about religion, it is about seperating the wheat from the chaff, so the wheat can go on withour sin, sickness and death. Oh by the way if God is not doing the ministering our of a willing person then it is fruitless. It ain't no mans plan to get people to think a certain way. God does the work we are just His vessels for His ministry. It is a common understanding in the body of Christ that the five fold ministry falls five distinct ministries within the Church, but accomidates many more, for example there is no mention of a drug ministry for addicts, but there is mention of drugs being a curse and therefore it becomes a Church problem.

That's not quite true. The goal of the Christian life is to glorify God. Christians are commissioned only to share the gospel of Christ with the world. Not to "get them to believe" or make them see it "our way." After you have been informed of the gospel of the Christ, it then becomes the work of the Holy Spirit to convict you of your sins and convince you that you need Jesus. Whether you become a believer or not does not factor into the Christian's goal. It does however factor into the Christian's prayer.

No, it is not our job to make you believe in Jesus, that is the job of the Holy Spirit. All we have to do is tell you the story of Jesus and let the Spirit work in your heart and life. The goal of Christians is to live a Christ like life. It is not always easy in this world, but with His help we make it. God Bless you and I wouldn't think of bashing you.

Pretty much! If a person was to simply 'go to heaven' the second they believed in Jesus, then there would be no-one left to tell everyone else the good news.

The purpose for Christians is almost entirely to let others know that they can have eternal life if they just accept that Jesus has paid for their sins.

When you discover something great, don't you want to tell other people about it? Is that true?

When Louis Pasture discovered that germs caused the spread of diseases, and that washing your hands would stop the spread of germs, his goal was to get everyone to believe in washing their hands. Is that true?

When penicillian was discovered, How I see it, it was the doctors' goal to get everyone to believe in anti-biotics. Is that true?

When you have been loved by God -- Your first response is to love him right back. Therefore, Jesus said to his followers, "Spread the gospel to all men and to all Nations". Gospel means "good news". Specifically, we were told to tell our neighbors about Life after Death;

1. You don't have to worry about death anymore.
2. You don't have to believe me.
3. The Holy Spirit is ready, willing and waiting.
4. Simply ask the Holy Spirit for proof. (John 3:16)
5. When you get the proof, tell your neighbors.
6. That's it, nothing else is required. Have a happy life.
7. That's right; biblically, nothing else is required. However, Church leaders, then and now, try to convince (scare) us into feeling an obligation to support their little empires of piety.

you got it!!! that's what us Christians call spreading the good news. Sum people don't like it cause they call it intolertant. But from my point of view and other Christians, if you have something good (salvation in Jesus Christ) it would be selfish of you to keep it and not tell others about it. As a Christian the best way to love my neighbor is to tell them that they too can be saved. lol

God love for man is so strong,he want that all men be saved.
When a person has Jesus in their heart, that same desire is there.
We are not perfect ,but one day we will be.We want the same joy for all.
We are human,we make many mistakes. We hurt and bleed just the same as everyone.
When people attack us,we go into defense mode, its human nature.
But we do desire that all men come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.\0/

Yes, I would say that is true. If you have experienced the love of Christ, you want everyone to have the same opportunity. Some Christians get a little overbearing and cause more harm than good.

My goal is to become closer to Jesus myself. Along the way if someone asks me a question about my faith I see no reason to lie about it, but I will not force my beliefs on anyone else. I keep to myself and believe that everyone's opinion should be valued no matter how foolish it may seem to me...someone's faith may be the only thing holding them together and to strip them of that would be callous and evil on my part. I simply wish to be respected as I respect others. We are all equals in this sinner's world, none are perfect. I am simply trying harder than some.

A true christians goal is to witness to others about Jesus Christ, show a sinner that he needs to change his way of living, by turning their lives to Jesus Christ., Repenting of their sins, desiring not to do them again. Asking God to do the changing. No man can change anyone. Only God can and then only when a person is willing to allow God (Jesus Christ) to make those changes in him/her. The Bible says that WE aARE NEW CREATURES THROUGH CGRIST JESUS OUR LORD.
