I'm trying to buy a dining room set and would like to buy it directly from the manufacturer.

I live in the heart of NC furniture industry. You can't buy directly from manufacturers, unless you visit, in person, a factory-owned store. Be prepared to haul back whatever you buy! I will say that I have bought and sold over ebay many many times, and you will find what you need there. But if you want to buy direct from NC, visit Hickory or High Point. In fact, if you type the manufacturer of choice into Yahoo yelloow pages for either city, you should get results (for example, Hickory has Thomasville, Hammary, Kincaid, Broyhill; High Point has Maitland-Smith, Thomasville, etc).
